ABOUT US

Who we are

Daraja Reube Mbororo Peace and (DAREM) is a non-profit organization founded in 2015. DAREM is on its mission to Promote and Protect the Rights of Indigenous Mbororo People as Well as Other Vulnerable Population for a Peaceful and Sustainable Living. The Mbororo are a semi-nomadic, predominantly Muslim ethnic group found in countries like Cameroon, Central African Republic, and Chad.

A gala match between local youths of the Bonduma neighbourhood and youths of Bomaka signifying a peaceful bond and cohesion, love and concern for one another and a community where theres peace and serenity

Capacity Building session with Mbororo ...

Several workshops related to leveraging the advantages of technology and education amongst mbororo women were held to sensitize them on the value these skills add to our daily lives and how we can leverage them for a better tomorrow.

    Menstrual Hygiene & SRHR Outreach

    Reached 80 adolescent girls with education on puberty, family planning and menstrual hygiene. Distributed 1,200 reusable and disposable sanitary pads and trained the girls on proper use and disposal.

    Economic Empowerment & ICT Skills Workshop (with CIVICUS)

    50 indigenous women and school-dropout girls learned pastry production, basic ICT, social media marketing, SRHR and GBV prevention. 20 participants received start-up kits (ovens, baking tools, packaging materials).
